1. Users can obtain their assigned functionality from any phone by logging in at any handset.
2. Your internal extension number will change from 4 digits to 5 digits.
New Extension: ‘0’ + 4 digit Old Avaya Extension
Example: 6321 becomes 06321
Your external number remains the same as before. For example, 020 7612 6321
3. Internal Calls during transition and going forwards
For IOE staff specifically, Prefix/Dial ‘0’ followed by their old 4-digit Extension number
Example. Dial ‘0’ + 6035 à Dial 06035
For all other UCL staff, please refer to UCL Staff Directory for standard five-digit extension.
Example: 87955
4. External Call to Local/National/Mobile (as before)
Dial ‘9’ followed by 10 digit local/national/mobile number
Example: Dial ‘9’ + 07543218765 or ‘9’ + 02076125123 etc.,
** Note: Please ignore the secondary dial-tone after pressing 90 **
Continued use of Avaya phones during transition period
1. Extension and External Numbers remain the same
Example. 4-digit Extension Number: 5339. Same External Number: 020 7911 5339
2. Internal Calls
Please continue to dial all colleagues as before.

On the day you move over to the Cisco phones, the ISD team will have people walking the floors to help with any issues.
