View other people's calendar in Outlook 2011

You can view the availability of other people by viewing their calendar before scheduling a meeting.

Instructions

1. In Calendar view, click on File from the menu bar and select Open > Other User’s Folder…

2. The Open Other User’s Folder will appear. Type in the name or UCL user ID of the user’s calendar you wish to access and make sure Type: Calendar is selected. Now search for the name of the person whose calendar you would like to view in Global Address List. Click OK.

3. Outlook will now prompt you with a message to say if you would allow Outlook to auto-configure account for you. Click Allow.

4. The calendar should now be added to your calendar list under the Shared Calendars section. Make sure there is a tick next to the calendar name to view the calendar.
