How to Install MapInfo for Windows

This guide explains how to install MapInfo downloaded from UCL Software Database.

Before you start...

Ensure you have downloaded the software from UCL Software Database and you have found the key on the MapInfo software database page under Serial Key.

You must be connected to the UCL network either within UCL or use the VPN connection if off site.

Instructions

1. Double click on the Autostart.exe in the folder you downloaded

2. Click on Install products.

3. Click on MapInfo Professional

   

4. Click on MapInfo Professional Installer

   

5. Click Next

   

6. After reading the agreement click next

   

7. Enter your information and the Serial Number and Access which is found on the Software Database Under MapInfo.

   

8. Enter the License Server Name and Server Port Name found on the Software Database Under MapInfo.

   

9. Use the Typical setup and click Next

   

10. Click Next

    

11. Click Next

    

12. We recommend you update the latest patch by clicking yes, downloading and running the file.

    
13. You have now installed and activated the software.
