Learn to add a video in Drupal.
Before you start
When editing use Chrome, Firefox or Safari but NOT Internet Explorer
Instructions
We have created a widget, called 'Embed third-party content' which is on the editing toolbar.
This widget will allow you to add a video to your website.
You may want to add a video in Drupal - e.g.
- YouTube - to add your video you simply click on the embed third party content tool, select Youtube from the list and then copy and paste in your video url
- Vimeo - to add your video you simply click on the embed third party content tool, select Vimeo and then copy and paste in your video url
- UCL MediaCentral - you will need to upload your video to MediaCentral first, you can find instructions on how to upload a video on the MediaCentral web page. Once you have uploaded the video you need to click on the 'share' button and copy the link. You then need to click on the embed third party content tool in Drupal, select MediaCentral and paste the link in.
Note: Do not simply copy and paste the video url as this will not work. It must be the share link. For full instructions on how to get the correct link check the MediaCentral how to share page.
