Create a Contact Group (local distribution list) in Thunderbird

Here you will learn to set up a local (or personal) distribution list where you can manage your own list of members.

This guide is aimed at...

  • Staff


1. On the Navigation Pane at the top of the screen, select Address Book.

2. Click on the New List button to create a new contact group.

3. Fill in the necessary details to create your contact group.

  1. For the Add to: option, choose Personal Address Book.
  2. Give the mailing list a Name, Nickname and Description.
  3. Start adding addresses by typing them in the list, one at a time.

Once you have finish adding members, click OK.

4. Your new contact group should now be created in your Personal Address Book.
