Conference facilities

The facilities offered are:

• Wired connection provision for laptops (see below)
• Wireless network provision – UCLGuest

Windows desktop computers

For speakers and conference leaders, we can provide PCs running the Desktop @ UCL service. This service provides access to the Internet as well as common applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop etc. 

We can also provide access to student computer workrooms outside term time. Printing can be done in the computer workrooms for delegates during conferences. There is, however, a charge for this.

Wired connection provision for laptops

In addition to wireless VisiNet connectivity, we can also provide wired Internet connectivity for speakers to connect their own laptops to the UCL network. For this, speakers need to email Host Admin with the location of where they require network connectivity and the date of the conference/meeting. They will then be supplied with an IP address and other details that need to be configured on the laptop.
