UCL is a very large, global top 10 research intensive university that provides mission-critical Digital Services for c. 80,000 students, staff and external users.

What is the Digital Strategic Plan
The Digital Strategic Plan will set out the university's strategic ambitions and objectives over the next seven years, and outline the high-level digital activity that needs to support these goals.
It is being jointly developed by the Office of the Chief Information Officer, the Office for the President & Provost and Strategic Change, and is being co-created with the broader UCL community including faculties and professional services.
Why do we need it
The Digital Strategic Plan will:
- Provide oversight of future investment needs to the University Management Committee (UMC) and promote transparency about what UCL is spending on digital delivery and the tangible value that it brings to the university
- Help with the prioritisation and sequencing of competing activity so that benefits can be delivered to UCL more efficiently
- Promote a set of guiding Digital Principles so that thousands of delivery and design decisions can be made in a more consistent manner
