Departmental Wireless Access Point registration
If you have a requirement for a non UCL centrally managed Access Point for use in your department that will be plugged into the UCL network then please read the information regarding the operational critiera and regulations you must adhere to at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/cert/swg/policy/Guidelines4.html. Please ensure that your wireless installation meets this criteria before continuing.
You will then need to fill in a form to submit your request to use the Access Point. This is so we can keep a record of all Access Points on the UCL network. If your Access Point security method is approved the UCL Network Group will issue you with an SSID (network name) for use on your Access Point.
