In this interview with Owen Jones, we learn more about his experience of studying at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and what he has gone on to do after graduation. Owen's thesis also won the prize for MSc Bioscience Innovation and Enterprise.

Who did you find inspiring at UCL and why?

The teaching staff were incredible! Their passion for bioscience innovation and expertise made the course so rewarding.

What is your fondest memory of your time here?

Collaborating with world-renowned experts and founders while working on my dissertation—it was an unforgettable experience.

Tell us a bit about the work you’re doing now...

I’m a strategy consultant at Charles River Associates, specialising in market access and commercialisation of innovative treatments. It’s a fast-paced and dynamic role where I get to collaborate with incredible people across the healthcare industry.

How did your UCL degree help you get to where you are now?

It connected me with so many brilliant minds and gave me a deeper understanding of the UK’s innovation ecosystem that I have found invaluable in my job.
