For medics, GPs and optometrists: our flagship ophthalmology programme provides an in-depth engagement with the study of ophthalmology in a contemporary clinical and research-focused context. This is a taught face-to-face programme.

Orthoptics (pre-registration) MSc

For science graduates: this programme looks at paediatric ophthalmology, ocular motility disorders and other eye and vision health issues that are dealt with by orthoptists.

Advanced Clinical Practice in Ophthalmology MSc / Enhanced Clinical Practice in Ophthalmology PG Cert Apprenticeships

For non-medical ophthalmic professionals, optometrists, ophthalmic nurses and orthoptists: this programme aims to meet the growing demand for ophthalmic care and is delivered in conjunction with UK employers.

Optometry and Ophthalmology (Advanced Clinical Practice) MSc

For orthoptists, optometrists or experienced ophthalmic nurses: this programme has been developed by practicing clinicians for multidisciplinary ophthalmic non-medical clinicians such as optometrists, orthoptists and ophthalmic nurses. This is a distance learning programme.

Optometry and Ophthalmology (Enhanced Clinical Practice) PG Cert

For orthoptists, optometrists or experienced ophthalmic nurses: you will undertake a level 7 academic programme. In addition, you will also be expected to undertake work-based learning and assessments. This is a distance learning programme.

Optometry and Ophthalmology MSc

For orthoptists, optometrists or experienced ophthalmic nurses: the aim of this programme is to develop clinical practice and to contribute to the advancement of eye care delivery in primary, secondary or tertiary care settings. Ideal for international students, this is a distance learning programme.

Optometry and Ophthalmology PG Cert

For orthoptists, optometrists or experienced ophthalmic nurses: modules that are offered to you provide training in the four busiest ophthalmic specialties in the UK and worldwide: Glaucoma, Medical Retina, Ophthalmic Emergencies and Cataract. Ideal for international students, this is a distance learning programme.
