Imaging work at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology

Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Science MSc

This gives you an in-depth knowledge of the physiology and biology of the eye and is excellent preparation for a PhD or a career in research or industry. You’ll learn about complex genetics, immunology, stem cell regeneration and behavioural neuroscience, and hone skills in analysis, lab techniques and research.

Patient exam at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology MSc

This one year course is designed to give you a solid foundation for a career in ophthalmology, research or related professions. You’ll learn from experts at UCL and Moorfields how to treat common ocular diseases, as well as practical ophthalmic skills like tonometry and gonioscopy. You’ll also develop key analytical skills for solving and evaluating research.

Aimed at: medics, GPs, science graduates, experienced optometrists and other allied health professionals

Upcoming events

URP will take place during 1 July – 9 August 2019 for eight weeks. Over 30 research topics are offered by IoO and Moorfields staff supervisors. Please visit ucl.ac.uk/ioo/summer-school for more information about research at the Institute and Moorfields.

 

Help with fees

You may be able to get money off your fees when you apply for a master’s degree at the Institute of Ophthalmology. We consider all applicants on academic merit at the time they apply. UCL also has some funding to help postgraduate applicants. You can read more about UCL scholarships and funding.
