Amina Abdirahman: Research Assistant

About the team

Dr Hannah Dunbar is the Principal Investigator for MACUSTAR at UCL, assisted by research assistant Amina Abdirahman.   Dr Dunbar qualified as an optometrist in 2004 and completed her PhD in visual function in 2012.  

Miss Abdirahman graduated from Kingston University with a BSc in Biomedical Science in 2018.

Our team are responsible for the development of visual function testing standard operating procedures, certification of study technicians, monitoring visual function data quality at all 20 clinical sites and designing and evaluating a novel performance-based navigation task for those with AMD.
