Duties and responsibilities
The Teaching and Learning Administrator is part of the Education Team at the IoO, who is responsible for the day to day administration of all taught degrees programmes. The post offers an exciting opportunity for someone to play a key role in the postgraduate education administration of a highly successful research and teaching Institute, as well as benefiting from the opportunities afforded by being part of the larger financial and administrative community of the Faculty of Brain Sciences, School of Life and Medical Sciences and University College London (UCL).
Directed by the Education Manager, the postholder will provide specialist administration to the designated teaching programmes, ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of its administration. This post will assist in achieving high quality and timely service to current students, and staff relating to the designated courses/programmes and beyond.
The role will provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of postgraduate taught students, including administrative support for committees and processes relating to assessment, student and course records.
Key requirements
The postholder must have a good general education to at least GCSE/A levels, NVQ Level 1/11 Administration, or equivalent or having acquired substantial relevant experience.
Experience in Postgraduate Taught Course/Programme administration, maintaining a virtual learning environment such as Moodie, and servicing committees and minute taking are essential.
In addition, the role-holder will have excellent IT, record keeping skills and verbal and written communication skills.
