Research Fellow to work in the Eden and Carr labs

The successful applicant will work between Eden and Carr labs to develop iPSC-RPE models of AMD and explore lipid clearance mechanisms and inter-organellar communication within the RPE.
The role will involve culturing patient-derived iPSC-RPE lines, isolation of photoreceptor outer segments and the use of state of the art confocal and electron microscopy to study lipid accumulation.
The position is funded until 31 March 2023 in the first instance.
Essential requirements include a BSc, PhD, cell biology and microscopy experience. Candidates should also have strong membrane traffic and/or retinal cell biology knowledge and track record and experience of high-quality research.
