Research Fellow to work in the Carr and Eden Labs

We are looking for a full-time postdoctoral researcher to work on a new project to develop new therapies for inherited macular disease.

Job details

The post would suit an ambitious researcher with a background in using pluripotent stem cells to model disease and/or CRISPR genome editing and a commitment to high-quality research that will benefit patient healthcare.

The post is initially funded, 30 November 2023 in the first instance.

Key requirements

The successful applicant will have an honours degree (minimum 2:1) and a PhD in a relevant discipline (neuroscience, stem cells, biology, biochemistry). The applicant should have experience in disease modelling using stem cells and/or CRISPR cell editing, be organized, be hard-working and have excellent communication skills.

The appointed post-doc will work with students and researchers at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology (including Dr Amanda Carr, Dr Emily Eden) and clinicians at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
