The International Centre for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) seeks two Group Leaders positions
7 April 2020
The ICTER invites applications for two positions of Group Leaders as part of a multi-investigator centre for eye research as related to imaging and biochemical techniques
The key scientific goal of the ICTER is to enhance our understanding of the human eye to have a direct impact on new therapies and diagnostic tools. It conducts cutting-edge research at different levels of resolution: from single molecules to entire eye architecture and function. The proposed project will have significant impact on the diagnosis and effective treatment of eye diseases.
The ICTER is looking for two Group Leaders to establish an independent research program related to the eye and with an emphasis in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology and genetics. The Centre aims to create a synergistic approach between these disciplines and will take on important questions in vision research. The program will leverage outstanding existing resources at the Polish Academy of Sciences and UCL. International Scientific Committee of the Centre includes top leaders in European vision research. Successful Candidates will be expected to supervise their research group and to mentor graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and technical and administrative staff.
