Duties and responsibilities

The Research Degrees Administrator is part of the Education Team at the Institute of Ophthalmology and will support the Education Manager and DGTs for Research to deliver an effective and efficient professional service for all aspects of research degrees administration within the Institute. 

The post offers an exciting opportunity for someone to play a key role in the postgraduate education administration of a highly successful and dynamic research and teaching Institute, as well as benefiting from the opportunities afforded by being part of the larger financial and administrative community of the Faculty of Brain Sciences, School of Life and Medical Sciences and University College London (UCL).

The position is part time at 60%FTE, and is available to start as soon as possible.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate should have a good general education to at least GCSE/A levels, NVQ Level I/II Administration, or equivalent or having acquired substantial relevant experience.

Experience of working in a busy office environment, with excellent administration skills and an organised and flexible approach to work is also essential. The candidate should also have experience of financial administration and servicing committees and minute taking
