Innovators

Get involved with the Institute today and watch new discoveries unfold. Through our partnership with Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the Institute of Ophthalmology is driving our research forward and moving closer to achieving that holy grail of personalised medicine.

Now is an exciting time to be researching the human eye: our innovators, discoverers, scientists and clinicians are all clamouring for the answers to some of the biggest healthcare challenges of our time. Every day we’re driving through new therapies, inventing drugs and striving to make a real difference to patients’ lives. What makes the IoO such a productive place is our special relationship with Moorfields, one of the world’s most prestigious eye hospitals. For our researchers, it opens up so many possibilities.

The partnership gives us the opportunity to gather real-time data from a wide range of patients with an even wider range of conditions. It also allows us to start clinical trials faster and get innovative new therapies to the people who need them the most. This means our researchers get to see real progress in their work and tangible improvements to people’s lives.
