Course Summary and Outline

Many clinicians will have contact with people with MS but, with increasing diagnostic and treatment complexities, MS management may be daunting or overwhelming for non-MS specialists. Sessions will cover the following topics:
- Clinically and radiologically isolated syndromes
- Pathology of MS from a clinical perspective
- Pathophysiology of MS
- Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of MS
- Neuroimaging in MS
- Infections and vaccinations
- Clinical course and prognosis in MS
- First line disease modifying treatments
- Multi-disciplinary team management
- MS Nursing Services
- Neuropsychology of MS
- Pregnancy in MS
- DMT escalation
- NMO, aquaporin and MOG
- Optic neuritis
