NeuroResource

Dr. Jia Newcombe

The NeuroResource tissue bank provides samples of human central nervous system (CNS) for research on motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis, and from tissue donors without CNS disorders.

We aim to help researchers in the U.K and abroad to carry out studies which will bring vital new knowledge on the causes and treatment of these brain and spinal cord disorders. Samples from NeuroResource are used in a wide spectrum of research projects.

Many of these studies focus on the mechanisms which cause and/or maintain the progression of disease. It is very important to compare research results with the information obtained from tissue samples without CNS disease.
