Tau plays a role in Huntington’s disease

Recently, Huntington’s disease (HD) was added to the long list of neurodegenerative disorders with tau pathology, collectively, the tauopathies (pubmed 25038828)


In a collaboration led by Professor Roger Barker in Cambridge, we have now shown a distinct distribution of pathological and oligomeric tau in the HD brain and a significantly faster rate of cognitive decline in cases with the H2 haplotype of the tau gene  - read more...
