Funds research to prevent meningitis and septicaemia, and to improve survival rates and outcomes.

Meningitis Foundation of America (US site)
The objectives of this foundation are: "To help support sufferers of spinal meningitis and their families. To provide information to educate the public and medical professionals about Meningitis so that its early diagnosis and treatment will save lives. To help support the development of vaccines and other means of treating and/or preventing meningitis." Offers a comprehensive website giving information on symptoms, treatment and prevention as well as news and a chat forum.
