Reta Lila Weston Institute of Neurological Studies

The Reta Lila Weston Institute of Neurological Studies was founded in 1969 through a generous bequest from the Reta Lila Weston Trust for Medical Research, with the aim of furthering knowledge about stroke and neurodegenerative disorders. We have an active programme of research into neurodegenerative conditions, with particular emphasis on parkinsonian disorders (idiopathic Parkinson's disease and progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration), hereditary spastic paraplegia and stroke.
