MS-STAT2 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The Queen Square MS Centre (QSMSC) Research Manager at the UCL Institute of Neurology is currently the data controller for this information.

To safeguard your rights, we will use the minimum personally-identifiable information possible to enable us to assess your suitability for a full eligibility check as part of our medical research. All of this information will be treated as strictly confidential.

We need to collect your name, email and telephone number to enable us to contact you. Your date of birth, type of MS, onset date and other aspects of your MS will also be collected to review your suitability for a full eligibility check for MS-STAT2. Your NHS number is being used as an independent identifier to be able to review your data without the use of your name. Your postcode will enable us to review the most likely site for your participation, should you be eligible.

The only people who will have access to personal identifiable information will be the MS-STAT2 personnel who review your suitability and those who will contact you via email or telephone.
This information will be maintained for a period of three years or until we complete recruitment to MS-STAT2.

The trial completed recruitment in 2021, and will not be enrolling new participants.
