This information session features information about the centre's latest trials, Parkinson's mental health and community resources, and advances in spinal surgical interventions. This was the first webinar in the series of Queen Square Parkinson's Research Forums held on: 9th November 2020, 4:30-6:00pm.
These webinars, organized by the Queen Square Movement disorders Centre, are free, open to the public, and aimed at people affected by Parkinson's - including people living with Parkinson’s, their partners, family members and friends.
In this first webinar, a live panel of speakers discussed the impact of COVID-19 on Parkinson’s clinical care and clinical research, and how people influenced by Parkinson’s can get involved in research.

Parkinson's in the tme of COVID-19: the pandemic effects on disease, clinical care and research.
Speaker: Prof. Tom Foltynie is a senior movement disorders specialist neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is also Professor of Neurology at UCL Queen Square Institute of neurology and has been leading several clinical trials and path breaking research studies in Parkinson’s.Parkinson’s clinical trials at Queen Square: ongoing and upcoming research participation opportunities at Queen Square.
Speaker: Dr Maya Bronfeld holds a PhD in neuroscience and is the coordinator of the Queen Square Movement Disorders Centre.Roadmap to research partnership at Queen Square: how people with Parkinson’s, their partners, family and friends can partner us to shape, influence and support the Parkinson’s research at Queen Square.
