Mentoring opportunities at the IoN: we are looking for mentors and mentees!

The Institute of Neurology is currently looking for mentors, as well as mentees, and we are accepting expressions of interest.

The schemes we have available are:

1) The IoN Academic Mentoring Scheme: The IoN Academic Mentoring Scheme is designed to support mentees all PhD students, Researchers and Academics (both in clinical and non-clinical career tracks). We accept mentors who are Researchers and Academics (both clinical and non-clinical).

Contact leads for the IoN Academic Mentoring scheme: Bilal Malik or Ed Wild

2) The IoN Under-Represented Students Mentoring Scheme: The IoN Under-Represented Students Mentorship Scheme is a new mentoring offering to support Master Students from under-represented groups, who are considering applying for PhD studies in Neuroscience at UCL. This new scheme also represents an opportunity for our PhD students and junior postdocs to gain experience as mentors.

Contact Leads for the URMS: Laura Convertino or Michael Moutoussis

If you would like to join one of IoN Mentoring schemes as a mentor or mentee, please register your interest by filling out this form.

To learn more about the different mentoring offerings at the IoN, visit our new IoN Mentoring website.

There will also be a Mentoring Q&A session on Mon 10 Oct.

During these sessions, Dr Jo Barnes, Prof Ed Wild and Dr Bilal Malik from the UCL IoN Mentoring Action group will be available to answer any questions on the mentoring scheme.
