ABTA Winners

We are delighted to announce that Mr Sundeep Teki, a PhD students at the UCL Institute of Neurology was awarded first prize in the recent ABTA Doctoral Researcher Awards competition (category Biological & Medical Sciences). There was strong competition for this award with 140 applications from 40 universities in the UK and the quality was exceptionally high.

Following the welcome speech, the finalists in the categories of Biological & Medical Sciences, Management & Social Sciences, and Engineering & Physical Sciences, stepped on to the platform to present their research. After the presentations of 9 finalists, there was a break for the judges committee to evaluate the presentations and decide on the winners in each category.

The winners were presented their certificates and awards by senior academics. The award consisted of a cash prize, certificate and tablet PC. Honorable Mentions of each category received a certificate and £100 cheque.
