We can only take IT equipment compatible with Windows 11 to Grays Inn Road.
Core-funded IT equipment

All core-funded IT equipment at Grays Inn Road must be compatible with the latest version of Desktop@UCL, which uses Windows 11.
We have circulated a list of devices to all departments, that are not compatible, along with new equipment proposals to help you determine what equipment should be replaced ahead of the move to Grays Inn Road.
Please contact your department administrator for more information
Research-funded IT equipment
If your research-funded PC is currently running Windows 10, you will need to upgrade to Windows 11, before Microsoft’s support for Windows 10 ends in October 2025.
If your device is not compatible with Windows 11, you won't be able to take it to Grays Inn Road and will need to begin the preparation to purchase a new machine that is Windows 11 compatible.
Check if your device is compatible with Windows 11 here or research staff can run a Windows PC Health check
Check for compatibility
For Apple computers: Hardware should be capable of running the two most current versions of Mac OS and currently be running either of these versions.
