Sit with the Editor series
A series of relaxed, face-to-face and online forums for the research community, which help clarify the policies and processes behind journal publishing.
The Sit with the Editor series provides a series of relaxed, face-to-face and online forums for the research community to engage with editors from prestigious journals.
The sessions aim to support and encourage researchers to publish their work. They aim to clarify the policies and processes behind journal publishing. Invited editors break down the process of submission, acceptance and rejection. They explain success criteria and give top tips and advice to avoid common pitfalls.
The series has a particular inclusivity remit, aiming to reach early career researchers, particularly in the Global South, and researchers with English as a second or other language, who often find it challenging to navigate the publication process in international journals.
This series is jointly organised by the IOE Research Development team and the Department of Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment to support research cultures and communities.
