Q&A with Nowshin Ahmed
Nowshin Ahmed is a Psychology with Education BSc student from the UK, class of 2027.
Why did you choose your degree at UCL?
I chose to study at UCL because it offers the perfect balance between academic prestige and practicality. Its reputation as a leading university strongly appealed to me, and its location means I can commute easily without needing to move out. Not many universities in England offer this course.
I’ve always been interested in both psychology and education, and this course allows me to pursue them together rather than having to choose just one.
What are your career goals?
I want to continue my studies by pursuing a master’s degree, most likely in clinical psychology or education. I hope this will allow me to build a career in therapy, where I can work directly with patients and make a meaningful difference to their lives.
What is it like to study in London?
Studying in London has been an amazing experience. I live in London with my family, which has made everything feel comfortable and familiar. I really enjoy having the best of both worlds, being close to university while still getting to live at home with my parents. It gives me a great balance of independence and support.
