Professor Zhu Hua, Professor of Language Learning and Intercultural Communication and Director of the International Centre for Intercultural Studies, is amongst 329 eminent scholars who have been elected to the Academia Europaea this year. She joins the Linguistics Section of the Academia.
The Academia Europaea is a pan-European Academy of humanities, letters, law, and sciences, with a current membership of over 5,000 eminent scholars. It was founded in 1988 as a functioning Europe-wide Academy that encompasses all fields of scholarly inquiry. It acts as co-ordinator of European interests in national research agencies.
Other IOE colleagues who are members of the Academia Europaea include Professors Michael Reiss, Peter Scott, Alison Fuller and Li Wei.
