IOE has built a long history of expertise in the field of education since its beginnings as a teacher training college in 1902. Today IOE is a leader of innovation in education research, of knowledge exchange that connects education to related societal domains, and of teacher education and professional development that is rooted in evidence-based practice and subject specialism, all at scale.
Education is one of two subjects at UCL which have retained the number one spot in these rankings for the third consecutive year; The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment, also earned the number one position for architecture and the built environment.
The QS World University Ranking is one of the world’s most consulted international university ranking, aiding prospective students in their decision making about where to study.
The rankings draw upon an assessment of important factors including academic reputation, research performance, and graduate employability.
