They are among seven academics from across UCL who have been newly elected to the Fellowship in the Academy of Social Sciences in recognition of their excellence in fields including economics, education and gender inequality.
Professor Lisa Calderwood is Professor of Survey Research and Managing Director of the Centre for Longitudinal Studies. Her research focuses on longitudinal survey design and data collection.
Professor John Jerrim is Professor in Education and Social Statistics. His work has focused on international comparisons of educational achievement, educational inequalities and the teaching labour force.
Professor Dick Wiggins is Emeritus Professor of Quantitative Social Science. His work uses statistical methodologies for social research questions including around trust in government during lockdown and the expression of political cynicism.
