IOE120 photo competition launches

12 April 2022

As part of our 120th anniversary celebrations in 2022, IOE has launched a photo competition asking the community to submit photos about what IOE means to them.

Yellow graphic with photos and text 'What's your IOE?'

'IOE120: What's your IOE?’ is open to students, staff, alumni, partners or anyone who has an interest in our work.

The competition is open now and runs until Friday 13 May 2022. It brings together a judging panel including IOE staff members Nazlin Bhimani (Research Support & Special Collections Librarian at IOE Library); Professor John O'Regan (Professor of Critical Applied Linguistics and IOE Vice-Dean International); Dr Claire Robins (Reader in Art and Education); alumna, teacher and 2018 Global Teacher Prize winner Andria Zafirakou MBE; and Education Studies BA student Fan Wu.

The winner will receive a framed print of their photo and their entry will feature in an IOE photo exhibition taking place later this year. They will also receive a collection of IOE120 merchandise.

The competition is just one part of IOE’s 120th anniversary celebrations. Throughout 2022, we are delving into the history of our work in education, culture, psychology, technology and social science, exploring how each decade of our 120-year existence has reflected and contributed to changes in individuals’ lives and society on a global scale.
