Academy Award winner joins event launching new Media BA
10 September 2021
UCL Institute of Education’s (IOE) new Media BA programme has been launched in an event featuring three-time Academy Award winner Walter Murch.
The event explored the role that universities can play in bringing talent to the creative industries and featured speakers from UCL Knowledge Lab, UCL Centre for Public Anthropology, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Creative England, and Mulberry UTC. They joined Walter Murch, who has worked on films such as Apocalypse Now, The Godfather I, II, and III, and The English Patient, in discussion to an audience of UCL's industry, cultural and education partners. Professor Andrew Burn, IOE academic and part of the Media BA team, chaired the event.
The Media BA is aimed at ambitious future media professionals. The three-year course combines the highest standards of academic and critical rigour with media practice and state-of-the-art professional skills.
Find out more about the Media BA at the IOE’s virtual Undergraduate Open Days taking place between 14 and 16 September 2021.
