New Head of Department for Psychology and Human Development appointed

Dr Zachary Walker has been appointed as the new Head of Department for the Department of Psychology and Human Development at UCL Institute of Education (IOE).

Dr Walker will begin as Head of Department on the 1 July, taking over from Professor Rob Savage, who will take up the role of Dean of the Faculty of Education at York University (Canada).

Dr Walker is currently the Academic Head of Learning and Teaching for the Department of Psychology and Human Development and the Special and Inclusive Education MA Programme Co-ordinator. He is a Senior Fellow with the Higher Education Academy.

His research is focused on issues of diversity and inclusion, instructional reform, and inclusive pedagogies. He works with schools, businesses, and governments to create inclusive environments and learning cultures.
