Dr Roberto Filippi to give seminar on the cognitive effects of bilingualism
1 February 2017

Dr Roberto Filippi will address the cognitive effects of bilingualism at the Centre for Educational Neuroscience (CEN) on Thursday 9 February.
For many years, the advantage of being raised in more than one language has been supported by evidence. Recent evidence has challenged this hypothesis and generated a heated debate among the scientific community. Dr Filippi will give an overview of the issues and evidence at stake and present findings from his own research, which reveals advantages and disadvantages.
The talk is part of the CEN seminar series. It will be held in Room 402 at Birkbeck University on Thursday 9 February, 16:00-17:00. The event is free to attend and there is no need to book.
