IOE attends conference on study of child language
16 August 2017
The Centre for Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN:R&P) recently presented at the 14th International Association of the Study of Child Language conference, held in Lyon.
The conference hosted an impressive programme of talks, symposia and posters on language development.
Professor Chloe Marshall presented a poster on her recently published work around the semantic fluency of deaf children, in collaboration with colleagues from DCAL and City University. Professor Julie Dockrell and Dr Anna Llaurado gave a presentation on the planning procedures of young children asked to write a piece of text. Mr Jaime Balladares presented a poster on the predictors of reading in Chilean children from high and low socioeconomic backgrounds.
The programme was rich and varied, with keynotes from Sharon Peperkamp, Asli Ozyurek, Marc Bornstein, Gina Conti-Ramsden, and Monika Schmid. LLN:R&P thanks the organisers and presenters for the quality of this programme.
