Dr Melanie Ehren appointed to advisory board of Shanghai educational accreditation centre

Dr Melanie Ehren has been appointed to the advisory board of the Educational Evaluation and Accreditation Center of the China Association for Non-Government Education in Shanghai.
The Association supports private schools across China through research and development projects in these schools; it currently has a membership of 500 Kindergartens, 180 primary schools, 107 middle schools, 16 polytechnic colleges, four universities and more than 1500 education-training institutes, which are mostly based in Shanghai.
The new Evaluation and Accreditation Center adds a portfolio of monitoring and evaluation activities to the work of the Association it is part of and will develop quality assurance measures such as accreditation or quality audit for these private schools to sign up to.
Dr Ehren will advise on the development of these frameworks and share good practices from the UCL Institute of Education's research work.
