6 December 2016

Award

Dr Lynn Ang, from the department of Learning and Leadership, will take up the position of interim Chair of the UCL Research Ethics Committee (REC), effective from January 2017.

Dr Ang takes up the position alongside Professor Raymond MacAllister, UCL Division of Medicine and Professor Michael Heinrich, UCL School of Pharmacy. The three will take up the position for a period of 12 months until a permanent academic Chair is appointed.

Dr Ang and Professor MacAllister currently serve as Deputy Chairs of the REC.

Alison Fuller, IOE Pro-Director (Research and Development), said:

"This is testament to the excellent contribution Lynn is making to the development of the university's policies and practices in relation to research ethics. It is also another example of the two-way direction of academic benefits of merger."
