IOE students dominate at the UCL Doctoral School Research Poster competition

Doctoral students from UCL Institute of Education (IOE) have achieved a clean sweep at the 2018 UCL Doctoral School Research Poster competition.

The Research Poster Competition offers graduate students an opportunity to meet, advertise and discuss the innovative research they are undertaking, thereby providing them with an opportunity to raise the profile of their research. The students won in the in the Arts, Humanities, Institute of Education, Laws and Social & Historical Sciences category.

Mrs Denise Quiroz Martinez, (Department of Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment) won first prize and £400 for her poster, "Creating pedagogies for sustainability in Chile through chemistry education."

The runners-up of the category won £100 and included:

Other categories included Brain Sciences & Life Sciences, Medical Sciences & Population Health Sciences and Built Environment, Engineering Sciences, Mathematical & Physical Sciences.

This year's competition saw 96 students participating with the judging taking place on 5 and 6 June.
