Literacy at the IOE: Past, present and future
Exploring IOE's history of literacy research and scholarship to mark UCL's 200 anniversary and the National Year of Reading.
Literacy is a vital life skill that improves life chances, creativity and imagination. The UCL Institute of Education (IOE) has a long history of literacy research and scholarship in this area.
This event marks UCL200 and the National Year of Reading, of which the International Literacy Centre (ILC) is a pledge parter. Hosted by the ILC, this symposium focuses on past scholars, present scholars, and future scholars of literacy in the IOE.
This will represent the powerful ways that scholarship within the IOE influences and supports literacy education and development worldwide.
