Launch of Education for Sustainable Futures: Global Citizenship and the Earth Charter
Join this online event to hear from the editors and contributors of "Education for Sustainable Futures: Global Citizenship and the Earth Charter".
This online event, organised as part of DERC partnership project the Academic Network on Global Education and Learning, will see the editors of this important new book give a brief showcase of the collection, and open a discussion with contributors, and audience members, on the themes that it covers.
Engaging with the aims of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the book, published by Emerald, aims to bridge the gap between policy and practice, offering a comprehensive exploration of the Earth Charter’s potential impact on education.
The event will be Chaired by editor Douglas Bourn, Professor of Development Education and Director at UCL, and will feature contributions from the co-editors: Mirian Vilela, Executive Director of the Earth Charter International Secretariat, and Namrata Sharma, Faculty State University of New York – as well as chapter authors.
This event will be particularly useful to researchers, policy makers, and practitioners working on Education for Sustainability.
