The school meals service: Past, present – and future?
Join this conference to discuss the past, present and future of the UK School Meals Service.

Researchers from UCL, the University of Sheffield and the University of Wolverhampton will explore the aims, achievements and limitations of the UK School Meals Service from its inception in 1906 to the present.
Find out how it has impacted schools, communities and families, and explore how the lived experiences of pupils, teachers, parents and catering staff, in the past and the present, can help shape the vision for school meals provision in the 21st century.
During the day, the team will share the key findings from our ESRC-funded project on the School Meals Service and recommendations for policy makers.
