NIHR CPRU: Reflections on working with policy colleagues in Department of Health and Social Care
Prof Jenny Woodman will introduce us to the NIHR CPRU, sharing the challenges and successes of working with the Department of Health and Social Care and other government departments.

The NIHR Children and Families Policy Research Unit (CPRU) is funded as one of 20 Policy Research Units in England funded by the NIHR to provide high quality and timely evidence to meet the needs of policy makers in the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and other government departments.
In this seminar, I will explain the structures and activities that our Policy Research Unit has in place to work with DHSC (including our Responsive Facility) and how these work in practice. Using two examples of our Responsive Facility work, I will share reflections on the experience of working with policy colleagues including the challenges and successes.
This event will be particularly useful for researchers and policy makers interested in public health, social care and children's health and wellbeing.
