Unequal Englishes: Book launch and conversation
Understanding the inequalities of the Englishes of the world: Hear Ruanni Tupas discuss his new volume, together with Giuliana Ferri, Mario Saraceni, and Rommy Anabalón Schaaf.
This event marks the launch of a volume on Unequal Englishes edited by Ruanni Tupas and published by Routledge.
The book argues that the Englishes of the world are unequal Englishes, focusing on how the globalisation and localisation of English revolves around the enduring and new forms of inequalities in which languages and their speakers are embedded.
The book collectively explores and showcases the ways the phenomenon of inequalities of Englishes and their multilingual speakers may be studied.
