Care in the cohorts: Measurement, research and access
Join this event to hear an overview of the data available on care and research opportunities in the four internationally-renowned cohort studies run by the Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS).
In this webinar, hear about the new, unique population-level research by Dr Sam Parsons on the intergenerational transmission of disadvantage and resilience among care leavers and their children.
Sam will then demonstrate the potential of this data by presenting recently published and unique findings on whether the trauma associated with out-of-home care transmits across generation – including how it may influence the mental health, resilience and educational progression of children of care leavers.
This online event will be particularly useful for those interested in care, including measures of out-of-home care, social service contact, caring responsibilities and social care.
