How we can consider teacher education for inclusion in relation to a wider conceptualisation of difference, as exemplified by a growing interest in models of teacher practice and teacher education focused on culturally responsive pedagogy.

This seminar will stimulate discussion and thinking on the implications of these trends for the future research agenda on education for inclusion.

Speakers

  • Alfredo J Artiles, Lee L Jacks Professor of Education, Stanford University
  • Peter Hick, Professor in Inclusive Education, Edgehill University
  • Federico Waitoller, Associate Professor, Department of Special Education, University of Illinois at Chicago
  • Discussant: Caroline Daly, Professor of Teacher Education, University College London

This event will be particularly useful for academics, teacher educators and those involved with policy development and implementation at the local and national levels.

Please note this is a hybrid event and can be joined either in-person or online.
