Selfie-knowledge and grammable moments
Join this event to hear Rebecca Mace discuss how visually dominated social media has changed the way people interact with the world.
Rebecca will consider how self-image is used on social media to articulate and communicate, and in particular will explore self-knowledge in online visual self-(re)presentation and its many forms.
This in-person event will be particularly useful for philosophers of education, particularly educators and policy makers, but also those interested in the use of social media in the process of self identity and development.
PESGB seminar series
This event is part of the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain (PESGB) seminar series. PESGB is a learned society that promotes the study, teaching and application of philosophy of education. Its London Branch hosts seminars every Wednesday in conjunction with the Centre for Philosophy of Education. These seminars are led by national and international scholars in the field, covering a wide range of issues of educational and philosophical concern.
All are welcome to attend.
