Food banks in schools
Join this event to hear Alice Bradbury, Sharon Vince and William Baker explore how schools and early years settings are providing for families during the cost-of-living crisis.
In this event, Alice and Sharon will discuss the reasons why schools set up food banks, what they provide, and the impact they have on children and their families.
William will present new findings about the growing number of schools now operating food banks and pantries to support low-income families. He will examine how and why this is happening, what it says about schooling in the UK, the role of the state, and the challenges facing families during the cost-of-living crisis.
This in-person event will be particularly useful for researchers, policy makers, teachers and students.
